Handcrafted, moss by moss

Using the principles of biophilic design, the Forest Wall® weaves nature into the building form, inviting passengers to experience the majestic native bush. Each segment was sculpted by hand by our moss artisans, with tufts and layering of preserved moss interspersed with living plants. Native New Zealand ferns add authenticity to the concept, while the density of preserved moss adds tantalising textural layers.

The Forest Wall® was inspired by a mossy-laden rocky outcrop found on a conservation walk. Innovative grow lights create the effect of sunlight filtering through a forest canopy overhead, casting leafy shadows that add depth and realism. Our team meticulously designed the installation to ensure the greenery thrives despite the space being entirely without natural light.
