Softening a heritage interior

Located in the heart of Auckland, Gold Merchants required a greenery solution that would complement the character of their interior while creating a more welcoming and intimate customer experience. The space balanced heritage detailing with contemporary finishes, calling for a planting design that felt understated, sophisticated, and timeless.

Outside In introduced a curated mix of aerial planters and feature greenery to soften the architecture, bringing natural movement and texture into the environment without competing with the refined material palette. The result is a space that feels calm, grounded, and quietly luxurious.

Warmth through considered planting

The planting design was carefully considered to enhance the atmosphere of the showroom and office spaces. Suspended greenery and layered planters help break up hard surfaces, adding warmth and depth while maintaining a clean and premium aesthetic. The integration of greenery also supports a more comfortable and inviting experience for both staff and visitors.

As one of New Zealand's leading precious metals businesses, Gold Merchants required a solution that reflected trust, craftsmanship and permanence. The greenery installation was designed to align with these values - timeless in appearance, low maintenance in operation, and built to evolve naturally within the space over time.
