The green spaces at Orewa Sands reflect the unique ability of Outside In to merge nature and design.

When it came to designing the greenery at Orewa Sands, we didn’t have to look far. The client had a vision inspired by the majestic native bush, which borders the site of this later living project. Working with Outside In was an astute decision. The quality of the interior and exterior greenery helps attract potential residents.

Our experts applied evidence-based design that benefits the health and wellbeing of residents.

This client understood that our biophilic design expertise would produce green spaces that enhance the health and wellbeing of residents. Greenery provides a soothing and calming presence. Research shows that it will help reduce stress and anxiety, while promoting relaxation and a positive mood. Our experts created four freestanding exterior walls that provide an immediate impression when visiting Orewa Sands. Inside, five interior green walls continue the immersive, natural experience. Planting is diverse and richly textured. The specialists at Outside In have crafted each green wall to appear as though they have been made by nature. Planting includes native species that reference the neighbouring bush.
