A creative response to a growing footprint
When Partly expanded its office footprint, it turned to Outside In to create a space with a difference. Having already designed, installed and maintained the greenery at Partly's existing premises, we brought a collaborative, design-led approach to the brief, along with a track record of meticulous plant care Partly already trusted. The new tenancy's industrial interior, with its lofty ceilings, mezzanine, exposed steel and white walls, gave our design team a blank canvas to work with.
Working within a considered budget, we developed a planting plan that lets nature flow throughout the workplace, using a relatively modest number of plants to elevated effect. The result is elegant and understated rather than overgrown, greenery that complements the industrial aesthetic and brings a genuine vibrancy that energises Partly's people.
Biophilic design, thoughtfully applied
Our team applied evidence-based biophilic design principles throughout, ensuring the planting was not only attractive but genuinely supportive of productivity, health and wellbeing. Hand-finished freestanding planters, chosen in forms and colours that suit the industrial interior, add points of interest to key areas of the office.
For the lofty balcony, we developed a cost-effective solution to maximise the scale of greenery, a series of wall rings that instantly elevate the space into a green feature, with planting cascading down the white walls. The result is a restful, rejuvenating environment that Partly can be genuinely proud of.
“Working with Outside In has been an incredible experience. The greenery has transformed our space. We’ve noticed a genuine boost in energy and creativity since the installation!”
