Greenery that sells a feeling

Zenith Interiors has spent 70 years shaping the way people work, and their Auckland showroom is a living expression of that expertise, a space where clients come to imagine what their own workplace could be. When Zenith approached Outside In, the brief was clear: the greenery needed to make the showroom feel inhabited, warm and genuinely inspiring, rather than simply dressed for display.

Planting is woven throughout the open showroom floor, using freestanding planters with lush tropical specimens to anchor lounge zones and add rhythm between furniture settings. Trailing plants cascade from wall-mounted and suspended positions, softening the ceiling plane and drawing the eye through the space. The effect is a showroom that feels less like a retail floor and more like a workspace people actually want to spend time in.

Zoning through nature

One of the standout features is a modular planting screen used to divide the open floor into distinct zones, verdant alternative to a partition wall that maintains visual connection while clearly defining different areas of the showroom. In the darker dining and meeting setting, planting is integrated into shelving and display joinery, bringing life and contrast to the moodier palette.

Statement floor plants including areca palms and large-leafed tropical specimens create focal points that complement Zenith's furniture collections without competing with them. Throughout the showroom, greenery plays the same role that great furniture does, it makes people feel comfortable, at ease, and at home. The result is a space where nature and design share equal billing, and where every client leaves with a clearer sense of what their own workplace could feel like.
