One-of-a-kind greenery

As New Zealand's biggest litigation firm, MC's vision for their new MC Centre was to incorporate abundant greenery that would celebrate the beauty of the nearby Waitākere Ranges, connect employees with the natural environment, and foster collaboration, health and wellbeing. The result pushed the boundaries of what's possible for commercial greenery.

1,600 plants, one vision

Collaborating with Jasmax, the greenery by Outside In helped MC achieve a 6-Green Star rating and WELL Platinum Certification. The 5,500sqm workspace includes unique temperature-controlled, life-size indoor terrariums with elevated oxygen levels and subdued lighting to support indoor planting and rejuvenate people. It was also the first project to feature our highly innovative Forest Floor®.

The Forest Floor® allows true-to-life layered planted canopies, each uniquely different, positioned to form meandering walkways inspired by the native forest. Seated nooks encourage collaboration and private retreat. Greenery includes hanging plants, wall-mounted moss, cable droppers with climber plants, freestanding planters and tambour planting - all working together to emulate the feeling of walking through a New Zealand forest.
