Humanising the banking environment
Greenery was introduced as part of the BNZ Lynn Mall refurbishment to humanise the banking environment and create a more comfortable customer experience. Planting across the front of house, self-service and conversation areas softens the contemporary interior, adding warmth to a space defined by dark finishes, dramatic lighting and bold architectural detail. These interventions help shift the tone of the branch from purely transactional to genuinely hospitable.
Less institutional, more human
Carefully positioned greenery softens the self-service counters and conversation spaces, reducing the formality of the banking setting and encouraging customers to engage more comfortably with staff and services. Statement planting frames key areas, creating visual anchors that guide movement and add a sense of calm throughout.
Lush greenery introduces softness and texture against the deep tones and contemporary detailing of the interior, creating contrast and visual interest without competing with the architectural intent. The planting responds to the scale and layout of each zone, helping establish a cohesive and polished aesthetic — a banking environment that feels refined, welcoming and distinctly human.
